True leadership in the body of Christ is not about exercising power or acclaim. It is about laying down your life in the service of others and setting a daily example of humility, mercy, forgiveness, and grace. To become an effective leader in God’s house we must follow Jesus’ example. This means serving others as Jesus served, giving of yourself as Jesus gave, and loving unconditionally as Jesus loved.
As Christians we have been each been called and commissioned to make disciples, which means that we must be equipped and prepared to lead them. We must be able to say, in the words of the apostle Paul: Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1
LEADER is the fifth book in the CLUSTER discipleship series, and focuses on teaching us the Biblical principles that are essential for effective leadership within the church. In this book you will learn how to shepherd and care for your people and how to build and expand your ministry. You will be taught the importance of exercising mercy. And you will be challenged to grow in your personal walk with God so that you can be an effective example to others.
